11:00am - Open 2-Person Team Heats
Noon - Women’s and Men’s Pro Invitational Races
12:45pm - Brewery Relay Challenge
The 2-person Relay Team competition kicks off the Beer Mile races at 11:00am. Then its the Women and Men Pro Beer Mile Invitational showcasing many of the worlds fastest beer milers. World record holder Corey Bellemore of Ontario, Canada and two-time world champion Allison Grace Morgan of Bend, Oregon have both won the Beer Mile Invitational here in Sebastopol multiple times.
Last but surely not least, brewery teams of four compete for the bragging rights and the perpetual Growler Trophy in the Brewery Relay Challenge. Each team member must chug a beer, run a 1/4 mile lap and chug another beer at the finish before passing along the beer baton to their teammate. Check with your favorite local breweries to see if they are entering a team and need beer runners!
Think you got what it takes?
You might be an accomplished beer drinker and you might be able to run a fast mile. But can you do both at the same time? The Beer Mile Invitational attracts the world's best Beer Milers who guzzle a 12 ounce beer in the chug zone, run a 1/4 mile lap around the Barlow as fast as possible, and continue three more times until completing the Beer Mile.
